During our time together, you’ll gain an insider’s view of Rome’s contemporary art scene, from major figures to emerging artists and galleries. Along the way, I’ll share stories about San Lorenzo’s transformation from an industrial quarter into a thriving contemporary art district. • We’ll begin at my studio, located in the courtyard of historic “Palazzo Sartorio” in the heart of San Lorenzo. I’ll offer insights into my artistic process and philosophy as we explore my latest projects and discuss the evolving role of art in today’s world. • From there, we’ll stroll the vibrant streets of San Lorenzo, home to numerous art studios, galleries, and universities. • We’ll visit key spots such as the contemporary art hub Fondazione Pastificio Cerere (a cultural nexus housed in a former pasta factory) and dynamic galleries like Gilda Lavia, Monitor, and Materia. By the end of the tour, you’ll have a deeper understanding of contemporary Roman art and its history. I’ll also leave you with recommendations for authentic local food and drinks, so you can fully immerse yourself in both the artistic and culinary sides of San Lorenzo from a local perspective.
