The Maynard Cabin, a Civil War era log cabinThe Maynard Log Cabin was erected by a homesteader after the civil war. We have moved and restored it and made it available for rent. It is off the grid, but it has a complete functioning kitchen, wood stove and sitting room downstairs. There are two antique beds with new mattresses upstairs. There is no electricity but the cabin is furnished with kerosene lanterns. The bathroom facilities consist of wash basins and outhouse. The cabin is surrounded by 40 acres of woods and meadows.

Quiet and tranquil lake cabinEdited for summer 2020 due to covid-19: We are fortunate that our cabin was made for social distancing. It sits on almost an acre of land in the country, so it is easy to avoid contact with others (except those you bring with you;) ). Due to the unprecedented health crisis we now find ourselves in, we have taken the advice of health officials and Airbnb to help minimize the potential for covid-19 to be transmitted between our guests. This includes ensuring a 24-hour period between guests.
