Výnimočné miesta v okolí

The location is unique, because its non touristic village right in the heart of the Brenzone trekking park on one hand and has all infrastructure in the close proximity: watersports center and tennis paly grounds are 5-10 minutes walk away as well as all year round grocey store. Its just 5 km away from Malcesine – Venetiona capital of the lake, that is one of the key sightseeing spots.

Brenzone is an agglomerate, which unites around 20 small villages both on the shore of the lake and in the nearby mountains. Each if them has couple of cosy family run restaurants, bars and a grocery store. We are in Sommavilla/Pozzo, which is one of the smallest and uncrowded villages of Brenzone, which is just 400 meters away from the waterfornt up the hill.

Here it's is by far not that overcrowded as in Malcesine or other top touristic destination on the lake. You can always easily find a free spot on the beach in summer. Malcesine is easily reachable by car. Its 5 minutes drive by car or 1 hour walk by foot along the waterfront.

Restaurant, bars and grocery stores are located on the waterfront and easily reachable by foot within 5 -15 minutes walk (or by car in 30 seconds drive). However, be aware that on your way back from the waterfront to the house you will need to go up the hill.

The beautiful thing about small villages of Brenzone they are very authentic, with many locals living here and great family owned restaurants. I really do not know a single bad one in the surroundings. It always great food & great service - as the place is not out crowded - there is always a lot of personal touch to the guests. Waiters remember everybody who visits them, like a lot when you come back and do nice compliments. Nice relaxed welcoming homey tranquil atmosphere.

WHAT TO DO AROUND?

TREKKING.
We are right in the heart of Brenzone Nordic Walking park. Trekking routes start from the house door and there are plenty of them. Most routes go along 2000 years old paved mule routes in the mountains and feels like trekking following the medieval secret paths with panoramic view over the lake all around. Many rustic mountain houses and medieval churches along the way. Semi-abandoned village of Campo with great restaurant in it. SPORTS
10 minutes’ walk from the apartment there is our local watersports center Acquafresca - where you can learn kite surfing, windsurfing, yachting or rent equipment for any of the above. There is also great club cafe in there. Basically you can spend the whole day in the watersports club: ride in the morning, dine there and ride in the afternoon. Tennis play grounds are 5 minutes walk away.

MALCESINE: CABLE CAR TO 2000 METERS, CASTLE, PARAGLIDING.
There is easier way to get to 2000 meters high mountains behind the house. MonteBaldo Cable Car in Malcesine, 5 minutes’ drive away and it will get you up the mountain in 15 minutes. In summer it might be overcrowded - so it better to start from the middle station. You can also do a paragliding jump from Monte Baldo. It’s safe and thrilling!

Don't miss Lino Susy’s Pasticceria on your way back from the mountain and the Malcesine Castle in Malcesine and overall authentic medieval scenery of the town (it is closed for cars and all the town is one large pedestrian area)

Another thing in Malcesine – you can join a group trip on a old 19th century yacht at the port of Malcesine on Wednesdays afternoons. Or rent a motor boat for couple of hours and go swimming in the lake from the boat along with a bottle of Prosecco and fresh fruits. It certainly worth it.

And of course as in any great touristic town there is good shopping and restaurants there.

NORTH OF THE LAKE
Many great spots for nature sightseeing are in the north of the lake, around Riva Del Garda. Also center for alpinism, mountain biking and other active sports. Ask us and we suggest you specific spots for sight seeing.

PRIVATE PLANE TRIP AROUND THE LAKE. It lasts one hour and you can stir the plane even for a while yourself. Maximum 3 passenger per planec, the cost is 250 per 1 person and 600 for 3 persons.

FUN FOR KIDS FROM 0 TO 60 YEARS OLD
Visit Parco Natura Viva (zoopark with Safari), GardaLand and Movieland – the largest amusement parks in Italy and third largest in Europe. Lego land and Caneva World – great water parks.

FOR WINE LOVERS. Visit Valpolicella wine yards, they worth it. Our favourite is Fabio Bonazzi.

THERMAL PARKS. Our favorites are Parco Termale del Garda and Acquardens.
