Our studio apartment has its own entrance and is separate from our home. You will enjoy a comfy queen bed and table/chairs for 2 with strong Wi-Fi in the studio, DishTV, and our SmartTV that will let you watch Netflix if you have an account. We’re ½ block off Main St and three blocks from Grass Valley's vibrant downtown. We dislike 'cleaning fees' when we travel so we don't charge them.

If you are looking for a pleasant place to stay close to downtown Grass Valley, we have a studio apartment with its own private entrance. The apartment is located above our garage, which is separate from our home. There is a three minimum stay requirement for all arrivals. No pets are allowed.

Perfect for a couple or single with a comfy queen bed and table/chairs for two. Very cozy with brand new (and quiet) AC and heating. The small kitchenette is equipped with a sink, microwave, refrigerator, coffeemaker, toaster and electric kettle. You'll also have fixin's to prepare coffee and tea, OJ and if you're lucky, Cherie will have made some homemade bread that you can enjoy toasted, with butter/jam, for your breakfast. You will also find bottled water and snacks to nibble on throughout the day.

The apartment also has WiFi, RokuTV with DishTV and a DVD player. BTW we are green with solar power on the roof. You will have your own spot in our large driveway to park your car. If you are driving an electric vehicle, we do have a 110V outlet adjacent to your parking spot in our driveway .

We’re located on a quiet, safe street in a lovely neighborhood of old Victorian homes that will enable you to walk to downtown Grass Valley and enjoy restaurants, wineries, movies, and live entertainment nearly every night of the week. The Center for the Arts is a little more than a block away.

We have been AirBnB hosts since 2014 and since we both love to travel we use AirBnB a lot of the time. Since we met in 2008, (and married in 2010) we have been to many places in Europe, Asia, Australia, South America and a fair share of destinations in the US. We recently visited Iceland for the first time (in the winter!) which was quite an experience for Cherie as her great grandparents emigrated from Iceland in the 1800s. Probably our go-to favorite for travel is Southeast Asia and we have been to Thailand and Bali many times. We also like to cruise about every other year and recently completed a transpacific cruise and liked it so much that we’re doing it again soon with a whole new set of islands to visit.
When traveling, we always seek out museums, either art or history. We're both movie buffs and love our Onyx Theater in Nevada City which is a tiny place that shows indy movies.
Rick is a history buff which has now branched off into genealogy. Also an avid reader of non-fiction, a wine lover (Pinots and Chards are faves) and a decent cook.
Cherie bakes award winning breads and other delicious baked goodies. She's also a good seamstress and has lately been found making a lot of things for herself, friends, and especially the grandkids.
We both also spend a lot of time fixing up our home in Grass Valley just the way we like it. We've also tried to fix up our studio to have all of the things that we like to have when we're traveling.
