Welcome to "Marooned Five". We enjoy sharing our home so others can experience the beauty and magic of Bald Head Island. Our home has 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, fully stocked kitchen (renovated March 2022!) & a spacious loft. Located in Royal James Landing, a private pool and picnic area are available for use just a few steps away. There are 6 bikes (4 adult/ 2 child) & 2 4-person golf carts. Guest memberships for the BHI Club are available for an addt'l fee.

Our home has 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, full kitchen and a loft. We have several indoor spaces as well as two outdoor decks that can accommodate festive gatherings.

The newly renovated kitchen is well-stocked with a crock pot, toaster oven, coffee maker, cookie sheets, instant pot, All Clad pots and pans, full size refrigerator with ice Maker, dishwasher, etc. Our home has 3 TVs and a Blu-ray player. There are several board games, puzzles, PS3 game system and PS3 games. For outdoor adventures, fishing/ crabbing gear, boogie boards, bikes and beach chairs/ umbrellas are located in the garage.

The home backs up to the golf course, and is a 2 minute golf cart ride to the beach and BHI Club. Minutes to the market and the marina.

Enjoy the beach and all the amenities of the BHI Club. Bike the island, explore Old Baldy, nature hikes through the maritime forest, and check out the pristine surroundings the island has to offer. BHI is a wildlife preserve, and nesting ground to the endangered loggerhead turtle. Annually in the early summer, female loggerheads return and lay their eggs on the shores of BHI. The nests hatch mid to late summer and visitors do have opportunities to see the baby turtles. The BHI Conservancy, is a great place to visit and has lots of info to offer.

If you feel like just relaxing for the day, take a few steps out the front door and enjoy the private RJL community salt water pool (Memorial Day till end of Sept) and BBQ on the charcoal grills. Enjoy a glass of wine and read a book from the decks.

The BHI club (guest membership required) has an amazing Aquatics center, playground, fitness center, tennis and croquet courts (+) and restaurants only open to members and guests. For more information visit the BHI Club guest memberships area to reserve at least 10 days prior to arrival.

There are two 4-person golf carts and 6 bikes available for use.

The Royal James Landing community is a group of 7 buildings. There are 4 condos in each building which surround the private pool and picnic area. There is an outdoor shower in the pool cabana. The condos back to the golf course. We are located in the Maritime Forest section of the island and it is very peaceful and shady. The closest beach access is (#20) only a 3-4 min golf cart ride and the marina and market are about 7 minutes in the golf cart.

Our condo 3A, is the left unit on the top floor. The garage is the first level. Our neighbors in 3C and 3D are on the second level, then we are on the top, next to unit 3B.

Our community is very family friendly and there are several full time island residents that live in RJL including the association president. We do not allow smoking in the condo or on the decks. Smoking is only permitted in the Common area next to the pool.

Hello! We are David and Kris. Thanks for your interest in our listings. We are tech professionals who live in NJ but often work remotely. We have 3 wonderful daughters and our pets, Marvel and Memphis. We started our hosting adventure a few years ago and have really loved it. It's a unique chance to meet and interact with people from around the nation and world.

We love sharing our homes so that others can visit and experience the beautiful shores of North Carolina, and our home state of New Jersey. We have tried to create a cozy environment where you will feel welcome and 'at-home' during your stay, and is ideal for enjoying the company of friends and family. We would welcome the chance to host you.

When we are not in NC/NJ, we are hopefully travelling the world, but most of the time, we are enjoying our regular Friday Family Movie Nights, playing board games, hanging out with our beloved family and friends and experiencing other adventures in the Tri-State area.
