The biggest decision you will need to make is which vantage point to enjoy. Our serene abode is a 5 min drive or a pleasant 30-40 min stroll to the picturesque village of Kuranda and the mighty Barron Falls. Your private quarters contain a kitchenette, bathroom and sizeable comfortable bedroom. On the deck you can sit peacefully, relax and observe the native wildlife; red-legged pademelons, brush turkeys and small reptiles. You will be delighted with the chorus of bird song and take great pleasure in sighting vibrantly colourful tropical birdlife and butterflies.

You can walk to Lake Placid or Skyrail and only a short drive to Kuranda Rail at Freshwater. You can drive to Kuranda or Cairns City in twenty minutes.

We call our lovely cottage "Kisler Cottage". It is located on the edge of Malanda which has all amenities, shops, period hotel, RSL , cafes and restaurants. Malanda is a great base to explore the Atherton Tablelands. Kisler Cottage is fully self contained, well appointed with quality furniture, some made by master- craftsman Victor Kisler, hence the name. The views from the cottage front deck are spectacular. So are the sunsets.

FNQ Blooms Tropical Flower Farm Lodge

Our Tropical Flower Farm is a 52-acre property situated at the foothills of Mt Bartle about one hour drive south of the Cairns International Airport. We grow an extensive variety of tropical Heliconia and Ginger for use in the Australian Cut Flower market. Our farm is completely self-sustainable. We have a waterfall that generates our power through Hydroelectricity and gravity-fed water from a natural spring.
