Welcome to the Emerald Cabin!

Newly renovated, charming 1950's vintage cabin in the magical Whispering Pines Forest. Our water is all spring fed, and it's pretty magical. This charming little cabin can sleep up to 6 guests.

We are located in the quiet neighborhood of Whispering Pines on Cobb Mountain, CA. Near hiking trails, wine tasting, hot springs, golfing, yoga, mountain biking, fishing and more. There's plenty to do, but this is a perfect place to retreat to, get cozy, stay in and relax!

The interior of the cabin is lined with reclaimed milled Valley Fire pine trees, we kept all the original doors, refinished the existing wood floors and left the beams and ceiling in it's natural state. The Emerald Cabin is located on a quiet dirt road of a rural neighborhood. (Please note: there are neighbors, however the neighbors don’t feel too close because of the forest between us, the forest around us makes it feel private and secluded when inside.) The cabin is surrounded by pine, dogwood, oak and maple trees with a rustic deck, propane BBQ (and an outdoor shower!). The whole cabin is on spring water, you can drink it straight from the tap. We have one large open common space (sleeper sofa, living room, kitchen and dining area), a laundry room, full bathroom as well as a primary bedroom and small bunk-bed bedroom with amazing tree views - it feels like you're sleeping in a treehouse!

The primary bedroom has a queen size Casper memory foam mattress and the sleeper sofa has a queen size bed with a memory foam topper, the bunk beds are also memory foam twin size mattress’, and all beds have quality linens.

- Smart TV with Netflix, Hulu, and Peacock with options for you to stream any of your own paid channels.

Hi, I'm Samantha and my husband is Josh, we host the Emerald Cabin in Whispering Pines, CA on Cobb Mountain. We moved to Cobb in 2014 and fell in love with this sweet quaint community on the top of the mountain. In 2015, The Valley Fire took our home, but didn't take our spirit or will to stay in and with this community. We rebuilt, and live less than 5 minutes from the Emerald Cabin. Luckily, Whispering Pines was untouched by the fire and is still in it's original state. The cabins and homes in that area, rarely pop up for sale and we had been patiently waiting for that perfect place to purchase and be able to share with the world. These vintage areas are rare to find anymore and we knew we wanted to share the beauty and peacefulness of this magical place with the adventurers and travelers at heart. We did a total gut-remodel on the cabin and left as many original pieces that we could salvage. All the walls and the back part of the cabin ceilings are all lined with reclaimed and repurposed Valley Fire Pine Trees, many that were taken by the bark beetles prior to the fire. That's where the blue veining and bore holes that you see in the wood come from. The live edge shelving came from our own personal trees on the property and home we lost in the Valley Fire. We literally put our heart and soul into this place and we hope that you get to feel the magic and love of that when you stay at the Emerald Cabin.
