Exquisitely charming stone & brick home features a one-bedroom guest suite with private entrance, well-equipped kitchenette, full bath with walk-in shower & intimate porch to enjoy your coffee or evening beverage. A hidden gem in a wooded backdrop offers an oasis just across from the canal entrance. The best of both worlds: steps to the river or downtown shops, in the heart of New Hope & L'ville. Walk to restaurants & bars in 5-12 min, or explore nature trails. Wood stove not for use w/o owner.

Priestor
This house was built in 1830, with a rich history in both land and property. (see below) Located not far off the road, but in a secluded canopy of trees and nature, it's truly a hidden gem. The suite is cozy and spacious with bedroom, dining area, sitting areas, kitchenette and bathroom, all fully stocked, minus the stove. You will find a refrigerator with freezer, microwave, coffee maker, teas, condiments and cutlery to make your stay comfortable. Bathroom is stocked with shampoo/conditioner, soap, lotion, Qtips, and emergency items.

What makes my place unique is that you have access to town or nature any direction you go: Goat Hill Overlook, a private stream, the Delaware river, the canal, and downtown shops and cafes within steps of the door. Perfect for nature lovers, or those browsing for art and antiques. A coffee shop is a couple of blocks away as well as some of the best restaurants.

You can bike or walk the tow path that begins just across the street, which will take you to Stockton, New Hope or other River towns. Less than a mile from the house is Big Bear Rentals for bikes and kayaks, and the Golden Nugget flea market. Take a short drive to Frenchtown or through the amazing Bucks County historical countryside.

There are two bikes for use, with care.

This is a wooded area, and near the canal. In warm months, expect some mosquitos and nature around. I cannot control that part, but offer a natural-made spray if you don't have your own repellent. If you leave the windows or door open, you will get bugs or spiders, so please remember we are in nature here. There's nothing that will hurt you in the immediate area. Please don't leave a negative review if you happen to see a granddaddy long-leg or other non-threatening bug. Just keep the door closed when not using it, and all will be fine!

Sorry, no bookings by individual (solo) men allowed at this time.

I live on the upper floors with a separate entrance. You may or not see me but I'm nearby if you need anything!

Committed to clean! No contact entry and completely sanitized between every stay.

The house has tons of amazing history. I just purchased the property early Spring 2020, and am have been remodeling as I can. The first floor suite was completely refinished, although the stone walls are original with the house. The previous owners and historical society have provided a glimpse of the history here on Weeden St. The home was once a brothel at the turn of the century, and the land attached to the property was an African American Shanty town. In the back side of my woods you can see the outline of hand-built roads and paths that created various levels. I have found some unique (and bizarre) antique items in the gardens, and am piecing together the story of this place as I go. The road was just paved in 2019! The house sits on a bedrock hill and my property goes up to the closed-off roadway. It is walkable if you go to the left out the front door, then turn onto the paved road on your left at the chained gate.

The parking is simple, but the road is a dead-end. You can turn around at the top of the road beyond the house, or back down to the gravel drive toward the beginning of the street. Either way, we park on the side of the road next to the house, opposite side parking is just fine.

Prístup pre hostí
Contactless entry. Guests have the first floor to themselves. You access the suite through the front door. There is a key in the lockbox on the railing.

Ďalšie veci, ktoré treba spomenúť
No guests of guests allowed. Only those booking the suite should be on the property.

The washer and dryer are not for use. If there is an urgent need to use them, an additional fee of $15 per load with the assistance of the owner is allowed.

The wood burning stove is not for use until mid-December and only operational by the owner. No exceptions. Anyone who attempts to use the stove will be charged an additional $500. The chimney is not open and it is a danger to use before specified.

Lambertville, New Jersey, Spojené štáty

There is free parking! No tickets or fees. If you've been to this area, you know downtown parking can be challenging. Best of both worlds; close to everything but in a serene street off the beaten path.

There are amazing places to eat and drink nearby (Marhaba, Swan Inn, D'floret, Lambertville Station, Meta Cafe, and Lambertville House, Ota-ya and Bucks County Coffee to name a few - all walkable), farmers markets, a local health food store, hiking trails, the winged dam for swimming or sunbathing on the river, a place to fish at the canal just across the road, the local boat dock with parking and antique shopping galore. I have some brochures and maps should you need, and you'll also find the community of Lambertville and New Hope to be very friendly and accommodating if you have questions.

Local attractions include Washington Crossing Park (6 miles away), New Hope shopping and dining (1-2 miles away), Doylestown shopping (15 min drive), or Goat Hill Overlook, other local attractions.

I'm an author of spiritual and self-help books (including The Fearless Path, Overcoming Toxic Emotions (Feb 2021) and a spiritual journal for women (also Feb 21) as well as a shameless self-marketer :-). I also own Modern Sage, a line of natural, personal and spiritual care products for your body and home. You may find a lavender spray by your bed, I make it and sell it :-). My walls are lively with original artwork, self-created and local artists or friends. Sometimes you can find me on TV, a podcast or radio show as an expert in holistic health or as Barnes & Nobles calls it, in the "Transformation" section. I have a little dog named Corkie and a dog-like cat named Cosmo. They run the house and boss me around but are sweet and quiet otherwise. A former musician who still loves to play piano, harmonica or drums. I do yoga on my patio when there's no snow, and I enjoy walks with friends, good food and good music.
