Whether it's for business or fun you will enjoy your time at our canopy suite. The suite is 7 minutes to Downtown and 10 minutes to Jordan Creek Town Center. You'll love the easy access to anywhere in the metro!

The suite has it's own private entrance from the patio of the main house. You'll want to stay in bed all day in the gorgeous king size bed and enjoy a long soak in the soaking tub. You can watch a movie or hook your laptop up to our smart TV.

The owner of this property buys and renovates distressed homes in the Des Moines area. They bought this house In 2017 and It was in such bad shape they weren't even allowed inside to view it. "Sounds fun, huh?" They bought it, gutted it, modernized the interior while keeping some of the wonderful original features. Summer of 2019, they broke ground on the extension of the house that would become two beautiful guest suites. The Canopy King Suite has a private entrance from the deck and has a dedicated parking spot. There is also a suite below that is also rented on airbnb. Both suites took very well with Airbnb guests and the owners decided they needed more help to manage everything! (That's where I come in!) As soon as I saw the two suites I fell in love with them and wanted to help makethem as successful as possible. I live about 10 minutes away and can be reached night or day. The owners of this property still live in the main part of this house and you may see them around outside or on the patio! If your feeling social feel free to say hi and introduce yourself! They are super friendly and welcoming.

It's a lovely, quiet neighborhood with mature trees. Being just a moment away from the interstate, your drive to anywhere in the metro is quick and convenient. Down the street is an entrance into Des Moines' extensive trail system, so you are a few minutes walk from relaxing trails and parks. The house is located at a beautiful crossroad of quiet residential and urban convenience.

It's a delight and honor to be a host. I'm excited to share my favorite places in this city that I love and open up many of the houses my husband and I have renovated to guests. Plus I love meeting people and hearing what brings someone to Des Moines.

We've been renovating houses in the area since 2015; we fell into it when we got engaged and just starting fixing up my sweet old home in Historic Valley Junction. We kept buying other fixer-uppers and between his engineering background and my design background, we are able to make each place really special. Adding in furniture, artwork, a selection of my favorite books, and so on is a further expression of my creativity and hospitality that I really enjoy.

Outside of the time we put into our real estate projects, I enjoy reading, going to watch my husband's basketball games, playing with our kids, art, technology, and exploring the world.
