Pipa Brazil, is perhaps one of the last tropical secrets left. In the Eastern most corner of Brazil, a rainforest opens up to dramatic cliffs and sparkling azure waters. It’s a place to slip into the crisp ocean waves and let the sun kiss your hair and the sand tickle your toes.

In this tropical paradise, the best things are the simplest things. Don a hat, kick off your shoes, and hop onto a 4-wheeler to cruise along the coastline bordered by multicolored cliffs. If the tide is right you’ll see the heart shape in the sand, and the stunning color changes it makes, from white to orange to grey. It’s like no where we’ve been, and feels like a fairytale.

The town center is full of Boutiques, with wares ranging from artisanal and local to high-end couture. After a day in the sun, stroll the shops in the heat of the day, then duck into a nearby bar for a refreshing pre-dinner cocktail.

The friendly warm waters are the perfect spot for a beginner to learn to surf. But maybe this isn’t your first rodeo and you want something a little more...spicy? There are 6 perfect beaches nearby with waves for all levels of surfers (and if you just want to look the part, the boutiques in town have you covered).

Can’t get enough of the monkeys? Step into the heart of the rainforest and watch monkeys, iguanas, egrets, hummingbirds (oh my!) in their natural habitat at the Santuário Ecológico.

Watch the local pod of dolphins frolic in the shallow waters of this bay as you paddle near them on your kayaks. If it feels like magic, well, it’s because practically is.

Olá!

We’re Michaela & Helio, adventurers, travelers, and livin’ that dream life. We once traveled for 33 days along the coastline for Brazil from Rio to Pipa, looking for the perfect spot to call home. The entire coastline of Brazil is stunning, but when we got to Pipa, we knew we had stumbled upon something truly special. The city vibrates with a certain je ne sais quois, and the welcoming warm waters are perfect for swimming in all day. So when we arrived, we knew we never wanted to leave.

We built a home near the beach, and decided to call it home. And we built an extra house just for you! We met while working on a cruise ship (it’s a story, we’ll tell you when you come!) traveled all over the world, and love the life we’ve created at our beachside home. It’s a place where the line between indoors and outdoors is rarely fixed, and having a bit of sand on your toes is a fashion accessory.

Michaela is a native of South Africa, and Helio is Brazilian/Italian. Between us we speak English, Portuguese, Spanish, and Afrikaans, and can’t wait to welcome you to Pipa.
