Stone-built Cairns Farmhouse dates from the 19th century and sits in a completely private setting by the peaceful waters of Harperrig Reservoir, overlooking the lands of Cairns Farm, the ruins of Cairns Castle, with direct walks into the remote Pentland Hills. Recently completely refurbished and redecorated, Cairns Farm is within 15 miles, 30 minutes, of Edinburgh City Centre and with easy access to central Scotland's many attractions.

The farmhouse has recently been completely refurbished, with 5 luxurious double bedrooms, 3 of which are ensuite, and communal space for 10 guests to get lost in. (Another 2 guests can be accommodated nearby in an equally luxurious and high quality apartment - just ask.)

This haven from the modern world, features a contemporary pale grey and cream colour scheme and is beautifully furnished in a modern country house style – complete with sofas you can sink into; extra comfy beds; quality bathroom toiletries and bathrobes along with a welcome pack of goodies including wine.

The kitchen is newly fitted and has a cosy AGA and everything you’d expect from a high spec self-catering property while the formal drawing room has wonderful views over the water towards the hills and is the perfect place for winding down, enjoying a dram by the open fire or indeed, holding a small, romantic ceremony if you’re planning a very intimate gathering.
