This is a quiet, very small village nestling in remote, beautiful countryside with lovely lanes and abundant footpaths all around. The cottage is perfectly located for sight seeing in both Shropshire and Staffordshire e.g. The Long Mynd and The Wrekin, and North Wales is not far away.

I am a social anthropologist, equally at home in town and country and love London and Manchester as much as I do the absolute seclusion of rural life in the heart of Shropshire. I love the country lanes and long walks across the fields and leave my rambling garden to grow quite wild to encourage birds and wildlife. Buzzards regularly visit the garden.

My favourite place to travel to at the moment is Turkey. I have just been to a yoga retreat there and have visited a few times now. I love it and want to walk the Lycian Way one day. I also love Tobago in the Caribbean and hope to return there soon.

I am a fan of fresh home cooked, wholesome food, preferably shared with friends and family. European movies and world cinema interest me more than American blockbusters; I am a keen photographer, prefer films to theatre and love to watch live dance in London, usually at Sadlers Wells.

It gives me great pleasure to welcome Airbnb guests to leave them in peace to enjoy my sanctuary in the remote Shopshire countryside where all troubles are immediately forgotten and spirits restored because, quite simply, no matter what time of year, it is paradise here.
