Burnside is a residential district of Glasgow that lies South East of Glasgow City Centre. You will find local people as well as tourists eating out in the restaurants and cafes. Cathkin Braes Golf Club is on our doorstep. It is the oldest golf course in Glasgow founded in 1888 and sits 650 feet above sea level offering panoramic views over Glasgow to the Campsies and Arran Hills to the west. Cathkin Braes Country Park and Cathkin Braes Moutain Bike Trails are close-by. The Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome/Emirates Arena and Tollcross International Swimming Pool/Aquatics Centre are easily reached from Burnside. Glasgow has great festivals: Celtic Connections Folk Festival, Glasgow International Jazz Festival and the Festival of Contemporary Visual Arts, Glasgow International Piping Festival. Some places to visit are: The Arlington Baths, The House for an Art Lover, The Burrell Collection located in Pollok Park, The Gallery of Modern Art, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Glasgow Women's Library, Glasgow Botanic Gardens, Glasgow Cathedral, Glasgow Science Park and The Tenement House.
