The retreat is situated amongst two World Heritage areas - the Daintree Rainforest, and the Great Barrier Reef, sitting in rainforest mountains sloping down to the coastal strip.

The area is a wilderness and relies solely on alternative power. This retreat has 24/7 hydro electricity provided by the natural creek within the property. The creek also provides fresh water. There are neighbours close by and many other attractions, but you are in a private location, surrounded by forest and the creek.
