The property is owned by a Trust an includes this rear s/c guesthouse. The front house is occupied by a trustee's family an they are happy to welcome guests an help them where possible. Friendly animals inc 2 border collies, 3 cats, 2 guinea pigs & birds also share the fenced property. A large deck separates the guesthouse & gives privacy. Safe parking. 2mins walk to the beach. 15min walk to shops an markets, cafes & restaurants. Relax or do as much as you wish. The sound of the ocean is surreal

Guests have full solo use of the guesthouse, it's own front deck, a large shared adjoining deck, back section an onsight parking if desired. Access to the rear of the section is through the front past the main house, guests are also welcome to use the front section if needed, this is where the trustees family try to let their 8 year old play so as to help give guests more privacy an quiet at the rear of the section during their stay.

The property is only a few minutes walk to the large Buffalo Beach an it’s reserve, an a 2minute Drive or approximately 15 minutes brisk walk to the main town an all its shops an cafes. Also the wharf an marina for those fishing or boating enthusiasts.
It’s only a few streets away from the end of the main state highway into Whitianga so easy to find, without a bigger towns traffic sounds.
The majority of tourist/holidaymakers adventures leave from either town or the wharf which are both walking distance...so you’ve got the option of experiencing Cathedral Cove, Hot Water Beach an many more exciting things to do during your stay.
If a lift/ride is needed from the bus depot (isite) please advise prior to booking confirmation.

Hi, I'm Sian (said Sharn), 1 of the Trustee's of this fabulous property.
My 8 yr old daughter Mckenzie & I live in the main house at the front of the Whitianga Dream property on Jackman Ave, in Whitianga, on the stunning Coromandel Peninsula, NZ.

Our wee family includes a menagerie of friendly/cuddly animals:
2 medium sized Border Collie dogs - Bandit & Bailey,
3 Cats - Wolf, Precious & Sassy,
Pretty much all of our fur babies can be patted or held with our (Website hidden by Airbnb) will welcome you.

We also have several aviaries with a selection of beautiful birds - Indian Ringneck parakeets, cockatiels, budgies, canaries, diamond doves & japanese quails.
You can see we are animal lovers, an upon arrival you will see my passion is to make the most of each day whether it be improving the main house, or pottering in the section with making it a attractive usable relaxed setting & atmosphere for all.
Since moving to Whitianga, helping design & transform the Trusts ole bach front house (the one we live in) and change the property to make it more user friendly and attractive for guests, us and our wee zoo.
In doing so, we allow guests with infants or kids (which alot don't) AND well behaved/friendly pets...having your own dog (or cat/etc) with you on a break away...saves a heap in kennel costs & keeps your family together.

The guesthouse and our front house are on the same property, but far away enough, each get their own privacy. There is a huge deck between the two, with plenty of seating options and we allow outdoor smokers...a bbq is ready to be used, an with prior approval the 6 seater deep relaxing spa/hot tub is on 24/7.

The Trust has set up the guesthouse's earnings to help get the old beach bach theme dwellings and property upgraded into a wee Coastal Paradise for all who benefit by it...us and of course our guests.
Even with alot more for the Trust with our help to finish the design of this Coastal Paradise property, we love living so close to the beach, and having the option to do (or not to) such a vast number of excursions or adventures in the area, enjoy the selection of fabulous cafes & restaurants or romantic fish & chips on the beach...a great place to live an definitely for holiday's! Most days someone is available to welcome guests, an on the odd occasion where the trustee an their family may be out, access for self arrival will be advised.
The Trustee pretty much say's "hi" to guests and leave you to your holiday/time in Whitianga .
Know the Trustee an their family are pretty much your friendly helpful neighbours”...this has proven successful.
