Kampung BnB is a homestay located 4km from Kota Marudu town center. This homestay is 140km from Kota Kinabalu International airport, 100km from the Majestic Mount Kinabalu and 100km from the Tip of Borneo (Kudat). We speaks Kadazan, Malay and English. Rates quoted are for maximum seven persons. All rooms with AC and ceiling fans. Gas BBQ and laundry also available at extra cost. The General hospital, ATM/banks, supermarkets and restaurants are within 5km. A village shop is 300m away.

This homestay is within driving distance to EG Mall (5km), Goshen Town (daily evening market), Bandau/Marudu township, Seafood restaurants and other eatery joints in the small town. There are family-friendly activities such pond fishing or visit to the Sunday market, hiking in Sorinsim National Park, country drive into the interior with a local or even day trip to Supirak Island in Pitas (over 2 hours drive).

Kampung BnB is suitable for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids). Bikers and cyclists are welcome! There is another kitchen downstairs for families who wish to do “heavy duty” cooking during their stay. Two new bathroom located on the ground floor for guests.

The neighbourhood are mostly farmers or small business owners.
There is a village mini mart within 5min walk for basic provision. Tom's burger stall is within 5min walk. The Football field is 5 min away. Several chinese, Indian and Malay restaurants within 15-20 minutes from us. EG Mall is only 5km away where Pizza Hut, Mary Brown , small food court, Guardian, Mobile phones shops and Survey Hypermarket is located here. The hospital is less than 2km away. There are ATM machines in town. If you love to hike, there is a hiking trail about 1.5km away. There is a family friendly spot called Walai Rabbit 15km away. If you like pond fishing, Sujana Hill is is less than 7km away. Several routes for cyclist enthusiasts. So one may stay in our humble homestay as a transit to other part of Sabah or stop and explore the Northern part of Borneo.

Hi, I'm Rose a native Sabahan and Terry is a retired English businessman. We love travelling, reading, eating, tennis, motor sport, golf or being outdoor.

We started building Sinurambi 20 years ago as our family home and have gradually expanded over time so that we can offer our peaceful haven to guests. We hope to welcome you as one of our guests. We own four cats and seven rescued dogs. Certainly not for those who has fur phobias. Sinurambi is a retreat for those who seek peace and tranquility just 20km from Kota Kinabalu City.

Kampung BnB was Rose's family home. We re build it to accommodate modern living yet still in keeping with the humble village life. Its an ideal place to stay in Kota Marudu area if you prefer a homestay rather than shoplot hotels. No fuss not frills.
At minimal charge, you may use gas BBQ and washing machine & dryer. There is a small playground for kids and adult to kill a couple hours in the evening. We do not encourage TV as there are plenty to do outdoor but there is a DVD player if one must watch a movie during rainy day.
