Historic Center of CDMX was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for its invaluable pre-Hispanic and Colonial architecture. It was home of Aztecs: the old city of Tenochtitlán, where the Spanish Conquest took place, which was led by Hernán Cortés.
We’ll visit Templo Mayor Pyramid in Tenochtitlan, a pre-Hispanic City. We’ll visit Metropolitan Cathedral and contemplate its eclectic architectural style. We’ll visit National Palace which houses the offices of current President of Mexico; there, we’ll appreciate Diego Rivera's murals (access to National Palace is temporarily closed).
Tour continues on Francisco I. Madero Street where we’ll appreciate Colonial and Modern architecture such as Agustín de Iturbide Palace, San Francisco Convent, House of Tiles, Latin American Tower; and Manuel Tolsá Plaza, where National Museum of Art, Mining Palace, and Post Office are located.
Finally, we’ll visit Fine Arts Palace, we’ll appreciate its architecture, and paintings of Mexican Muralism, painted by artists such as Diego Rivera, David Alfaro Siqueiros, Rufino Tamayo and others.
Within all these monuments there are great stories, anecdotes, and interesting legends to tell that we’ll enjoy very much.
If you prefer, ask for a private tour, as well.
We will travel through time in this beautiful city, from pre-Hispanic times, to the Colonial period, and finally to the Modern City!
